Born Saints, Grown Devils
What started as the Victor Saints in 1971 with sponsorship from St Patrick’s Church continues to be a major part of our community’s youth sports 50 years later. The program had many storied seasons before changing their name to the Jr Blue Devils in 2004 to align with the school’s nickname and colors.
The program has always been at its core all about teaching the fundamentals of life – teamwork, dedication, and effort – through the sports we have grown to love – football and cheerleading. It has never been about winning (although the program has had its fair share of championships along the way) and can count among its past participants many successful people in our community.
Averaging over 300 participants per year and with countless volunteers you would be hard pressed to find a person or family in this community who has not spent some time in the Jr Blue Devils world. We can promise you that there is not much more fun than can be had then sitting in the stands and rooting for our cheer and football teams!
If you live in Victor, you know we are blessed in many ways. One of those ways is the cornerstone of our community – the school. Victor Central Schools have been pivotal over the years in supporting our program with facilities usage and more. The school has never shied away from helping the program as a continued commitment to our children of the community. Thank you to ALL of those folks, past and present, from VCS who allow us to have this amazing program.
